Nikes.

I really can't get enough of sneaks lately (as will be evidenced in future posts). The fact that they are now having a moment in fashion is both exciting and relieving. As a teacher, I am on my feet for most of the day and while I love my heels, my feet don't love them after 6 hours. So I am totally embracing the idea of pairing my new Nikes with, well, everything! Today it was a snappy blazer tossed on over a simple tee and jeans. But I'm also looking forward to wearing them with something a bit dressier...so stay tuned!

Jeweled.

Casual dressing on a Sunday afternoon. I love the idea of wearing baggy, ripped jeans with something a little girly. Like a jeweled sweatshirt and suede booties. Of course, I then feel as if the outfit should be toughened up a bit. Enter the leather jacket. Equal parts cool and tough. All of the pieces in this outfit are old, but feel new when paired together. Happy Kicks tonight for the upcoming holiday festivities! Layers & Loafers

A quick post as I end my vacation in Connecticut. It only rained one day during my two week visit (lucky me!), but the sun came out by the afternoon. This outfit worked perfectly for the change in weather. Loose fitting denim (love the patches), a tank, and a vest to keep out the chill from the rain. I also had to wear these loafers since they were such a steal from a local consignment shop! Plus, how cute are the lobsters?!? Pretty fitting for a vacation in New England. Double Denim

A beautiful, sunny Sunday calls for a double dose of denim. Its laid back. Its comfy. Its cool. My heels dressed up my boyfriend jeans just a bit. I'm also wearing this gorgeous necklace again because I just can't get enough of it. Happy Kicks today for blue skies!

Jeans & A Tee

Jeans day at school today!  Which means dressing was easy this morning!  I love a jeans and tee combo.  It's so simple and effortless.  I picked up this "Cheers" tee on sale at J. crew a few weeks back.  It's got a vintage feel to it ~ soft and loose.  Layers always add interest to a simple outfit, so I tied a plaid shirt around my waist and wore my navy blazer on top.  Collar popped of course!

Happy Kicks today for all of our amazing athletes competing in the Olympics.  It has been so enjoyable to watch and cheer them on over the past two weeks.  Go Team USA!  Cheers!
