Make a Statement.

And boom goes the dynamite. Love this graphic sweatshirt I snagged last year from Target. Such a statement maker that I kept the rest of my outfit simple and black. And speaking of Target, almost my entire outfit is from there which is proof of two things: 1. I shop there often (let's be honest, I never leave with just one item) and 2. Target makes some pretty darn cute stuff! I'd love to own designer items, but let's be realistic. I'm a teacher. Target is more my speed. I can shop there with confidence and feel on trend in their clothes. On the rare occasion that I do sport a designer item, I'm likely to mix in a Target piece. Making a statement in style ~ Target style.

Note: Target did not endorse this post. I just really love shopping there and want you to know that you can be a fashionista on a budget! Happy Kicks!

Winter Pastel

Pastels in winter? Why yes, I think I will! Especially if it's in the form of an oversized, soft, warm coat. In the winter, pastels pair nicely with darker neutral colors. I chose a pair of faux leather leggings and a striped top. Speaking of this striped tee ~ it's amazing! The most comfy and soft tee I've ever owned. I literally want to wear it everyday and now wish I had purchased more than one! Perhaps a trip to AE is in my near future!

Jeweled.

Casual dressing on a Sunday afternoon. I love the idea of wearing baggy, ripped jeans with something a little girly. Like a jeweled sweatshirt and suede booties. Of course, I then feel as if the outfit should be toughened up a bit. Enter the leather jacket. Equal parts cool and tough. All of the pieces in this outfit are old, but feel new when paired together. Happy Kicks tonight for the upcoming holiday festivities! Keep checking bag for a fun holiday outfit post in the next few days.

Scarf Print.

Sporting a casual, cool look in this flowy scarf print top. Because the pattern is bright and busy, I kept the rest of my outfit simple. Black faux leather joggers and wedge sneakers were the perfect base for this fun top. I also grabbed my big, gold hoops to play off the boho, gypsy vibe of my top.

Floral Flow.

A quick post tonight to show a look from last week. I decided to wear this dress as an outer layer over an all black ensemble. I like the pairing of a pretty floral with edgier black pieces. Plus, this dress looked super cool when I walked because of the flowiness. Happy Kicks for floral with an edge!

Gray // Camo

Here's another look from my Spring Break week. I wanted to bring new life to my gray sweater so I paired it with some loose fitting camo pants and my black mules. Kind of casual with a kick. These mules are by far my most favorite new shoes. I love that I can wear them with both dressy and casual pieces. Not to mention that they are quite comfortable.

Happy Kicks today for a fairly smooth transition back to work. Hope the rest of my week will be as easy as today was!

Leopard & Stripes

I'm a sucker for stripes. Second day in a row wearing them and don't be surprised if they show up again tomorrow. Stripes are the perfect pattern to mix with other patterns. They are subtle and pair well with bolder patterns like leopards and florals. I kept my patterns in neutral colors and added a pop of color with my clutch. A leather jacket and moto booties completed my mixed print look.

Maxified.

The maxi skirt. One of my favorite pieces to dress up or down. Today I went for a comfy, casual look by pairing my maxi with a sweatshirt. I added some pizzazz with a statement necklace. My leather jacket is on repeat lately. I find that it is the perfect final layer over almost very outfit I wear. Plus I feel pretty cool in it!

Side note ~ I'm overly tired this week and it is definitely showing in my pics. I apologize for my bags and lackluster expressions. Taking pictures at 7am can sometimes be a little rough! Perhaps more sleep is in the near future though. Tomorrow is Friday! Happy Kicks!

Tuxedo.

Casual tuxedo dressing today. I used black and white as the base of my outfit and then added color with my pants and bag. I love the look of a tuxedo blazer and a tuxedo stripe on a pair of pants, so I figured why not put them together. I love the versatility of a black and white blazer. It can be thrown on with a pair of jeans or worn over an LBD. Today I wore mine as an extra layer over a simple tee. I know I've said this before, but the tees in the men's department at Target are amazing. They are super comfy and somewhat oversized. Just for reference, I am wearing a men's small.

Happy Kicks today for more gorgeous weather!
