Sporting a casual, cool look in this flowy scarf print top. Because the pattern is bright and busy, I kept the rest of my outfit simple. Black faux leather joggers and wedge sneakers were the perfect base for this fun top. I also grabbed my big, gold hoops to play off the boho, gypsy vibe of my top.

Clean Lines.
So, last Monday was our annual Open House at school, which called for a very clean and professional look. Enter this amazing color-block dress from Altuzarra collaboration with Target. A minimal look with classic lines. It reminds me of a perfect men's dress shirt, but cut for a woman's body. I love the contrast of the blue and white as well as the piping along the edge. I added a double-breasted blazer and kitten heels to polish off this sophisticated look.

Back to School
Back to school and back to the early morning rush! Eek! The best part of the first day of school (besides meeting my students of course) is the first day outfit. I picked up these cute printed pants from J. Crew Factory over the weekend. The cropped length and pattern really caught my eye. A perfect choice for the first day. Of course I had to add a little pizzazz to my ensemble and this statement necklace fit the bill. The colors paired perfectly with the print in my pants. My suede booties and denim jacket added some casualness. Although my summer break is now officially over, I will do a Happy Kick for being back to school. It just means I'll be getting dressed like a normal person again and will have more outfits to feature on the blog!

Tuxedo Stripe.
One of the best combinations is a great pair of khakis and a comfy white tee. I love the tuxedo stripe on these Andie chinos from J. Crew. It gives a dressier feel to a relaxed pant. I added a pair of high-heeled sandals and a striped sweater to play off the tuxedo stripe. Simple jewelry finished my look. An easy look with simple pieces.
Sweater: Target (similar). Tee: Target (white no longer available). Pants: J. Crew (piped style). Sandals: Calvin Klein. Bag: DKNY. Watch: Michael Kors. Bracelets: J. Crew. Earrings: Gift from India. Necklace: Hautelook.

Army Green
A dress over pants? Why, yes, I think I will! I really like the idea of taking a summer dress and styling it for the winter. Normally I wear this army green shift with a pair of gladiators and a straw fedora. But not today my friends, not today! Instead, I put together a simple outfit of a striped top and skinny black pants, and threw my shift over top. VoilĂ ! A dress and pants. Together. I kind of like it, and the best part...my legs were warm, because the temperatures were not.
Happy Kicks today for a full house! My husband took my daughter on a mini vacation earlier this week and they are finally home. We are whole again and I love it!
