Fancy.

Fancy heels. Fuzzy sweater. Cargo pants. For me, these pieces compliment each other so well. A mix of slouchy casual and dressy extras. Plus it was warm enough the other day to not wear boots so I grabbed the chance to wear these new heels. I found them on clearance ($13!) at Target the other day, but they are still full price on the website. Certainly worth a trip to the store if you are sucker for pretty heels like me!

Like A Lady.

I feel pretty, oh so pretty. Have you ever had one of those days where you just felt like everything worked? This outfit did that for me. Mixed prints - check. Booties - check. Statement necklace - check. A bit of leopard - check. Girly headband - check. Honestly, I'm obsessed. I really felt like the closet gods were on my side. And for the record, there are many outfits that never even make the blog. So while I may be talking myself up right now, a day of self-loathing is surely right around the corner. Because yes, I often look at myself and think ~ ugh. Today though, I'll relish in this outfit bliss! Happy Kicks for the good days (and the documentation that they existed)!

Scarf Print.

Sporting a casual, cool look in this flowy scarf print top. Because the pattern is bright and busy, I kept the rest of my outfit simple. Black faux leather joggers and wedge sneakers were the perfect base for this fun top. I also grabbed my big, gold hoops to play off the boho, gypsy vibe of my top.

Stripes + Floral

I spent the majority of my time today meeting with parents at school for our fall conference day. I knew I wanted to be comfortable, but also look put together. Enter my floral pants ~ easy to move in with just the right amount of pizazz. I added a striped tee, in the same color family so the patterns complimented each other, and some comfortable yet cute flats. The latest addition to my wardrobe is this versatile cross-body bag from Old Navy. It's the perfect size if you're looking for a smaller bag that can still fit all of your paraphernalia. My jean jacket was an easy choice as an outer layer since it pulled my two patterns together.

Great Lengths.

Perhaps the perfect summer piece...the maxi. It's loose, it's flowy, and if you find the right one it will hang just right. This maxi dress is from Old Navy. The short sleeve version is no longer available, but there is a similar tank style. I tied a long cardigan around my waist to deal with the AC and pulled out my favorite turquoise necklace again. My completed look included my big cognac bag from Zara and strappy sandals from American Eagle. Happy Kicks for a summer maxi!

The Blondes.

A baseball tee plus hearts. Sporty plus girly. I love combining two things that are somewhat opposites. It sometimes makes the perfect outfit. Of course I couldn't pass up this tee from Stylemint. I would totally join a softball team called The Blondes! This skirt is so fun. A heart print and buttons down the back, kind of hard to see in the photo, but super cute! I don't always match my bag and shoes, but I couldn't resist pulling in this rich cognac color. I felt the two complimented each other so well. I love a large tote and this shopper from Zara is perfect to fit all of my purse items as well as my school paperwork. Happy Kicks for dressing up a sporty tee!

Sparkle and Flow.

The chambray shirt. It goes with everything. You can wear it with a casual outfit or something more dressy. I went dressy today with these great flowy pants. I tied my shirt at the waist to play up my shape and of course popped the collar. The final touch ~ this fab sequin clutch. I saw several versions of this clutch on Pinterest and knew I had to find one. After searching around I found one on an online boutique. I love carrying it with both dressy and casual outfits. A little sparkle never hurts!

Jump.

The jumpsuit. It's like a onesie for adults. Totally wearable and totally fab. Just throw one on and accessorize! I like the loose fit of this black one from Target and the fact that it has a drawstring waist. It's always nice to be able to cinch in a bit to give a looser fit garment some shape.  My accessories today consisted of a statement necklace, neon bag, and killer heels.
