M.I.A.

So it's been awhile. I had to take a brief hiatus from the blog to get my life in order. Things got a bit hectic at home ~ you know that whole working mom thing. The good news, for me anyway, was the vacation to Key West I took with my family a few weeks ago. It was just what I needed. Some time away spent with my amazing husband and two wonderful kids. It was perfect for my mind, body, and spirit. I've included some of my favorite pics from our trip, outfits included of course. Fringe.

One of my favorite spring trends is fringe. I've seen it on dresses, skirts, boots, and bags. Fringe is certainly having a moment! I found this fringed bag at Target recently (on sale!) and knew it was the perfect way for me to incorporate the trend. Even better, the bag converts to a backpack! I kept my outfit simple as the weather hasn't been super warm yet. Chambray, black denim, and booties paired well with the ease of the fringe. And of course we have to talk about this hat! Another steal from Target! Love the soft brown and the height. Perfect for these chillier spring days and a perfect compliment to the fringe!

Summer Favorites

In the summer, I love the ease of a simple tank and a skirt. They are perfect partners for a warm summer day. I bought this skirt a few years ago because of it's boho vibe. When paired with a cropped tank and Birks, it really comes to life. Simple jewelry and a straw bag are my everyday essentials to add polish to any look, and these vintage shell earrings have made an appearance with almost every outfit over the past month. I also attempted a new updo with my short hair...boho chic? Happy Kicks for easy pieces on summer days!
