Dressing Room.

Confessions of a dressing room junkie. I love to shop ~ shocking, I know! I also love a dressing room. If it has good lighting. And a friend to take pics! So, this past weekend while away with the girls, I found myself in a dressing room with one of my besties. Perfect opportunity to try on some new spring items and take some outfit pics. I'm kind of in love with the outfit I chose for our day of shopping. Belted chic, I suppose. Kind of my nod to OP (but the less expensive version of course). Really, the best part of an outfit is how you feel in it. Well, and if you look good in a dressing room, right?

Happy Kicks to dressing room pics and shopping days with the girls!

Keep It Casual.

I've spoken of my love for sneakers before, but I seriously can't get enough of them. I especially like pairing them with an outfit that I would normally wear with heels. It's my little way of keeping things casual for a long day at school. So today, it's a graphic sweatshirt, striped trousers, and a warm fur vest. Keep it casual for an easy look.

Rockin' Moccs.

For my birthday, I finally got the pair of moccasins I've been lusting over for months (thanks to the hubs)! They are the perfect mixture of comfort an style. I'm in love with the fringe and small metal details. I went simple with my outfit ~ black denim, stripes, and chambray tied around my waist. A little 90s nod to go with my fringe. My oversized tweed blazer was once again the perfect outer layer. Happy Kicks for some new rockin' Moccs!

Bold & Bright.

I'm starting my week off in bold, bright colors. It was time to change up my usual blacks and grays. These bright colors have me looking forward to spring although I think we're a little way off from that. So because I went with two bold, complimentary colors, I kept my outfit color blocked. I wanted a seamless flow from the top to the bottom and adding other colors would have been distracting. I kept my accessories a neutral black and added a black and white tweed blazer as a final layer.

Belted Fair Isle.

I'm layered up today to ward off the chill in the air. Cold days call for a thick, warm fair isle sweater. I jazzed mine up with a vest and sequin belt. Cinching in at the waist took some of the bulk out of the sweater and left me with a sleeker look. Black ankle trousers and my desert boots finished off this cozy chic look!

Tweed.

Schoolgirl cool. Pretty fitting for a teacher. My version includes this super cute tweed shift dress with faux leather trimmed pockets and a zippered front. Equal parts comfy and chic. I added a pair of cap toe flats and this roomy backpack (from Target, of course) to stay with my schoolgirl vibe. Easy as 2 + 2 = 4.

Jumper: Kirna Zabete x Target (old, similar herehere, and here).  Turtleneck: J. Crew.  Flats: Gap (old, similar).  Backpack: Target.  Watch: Michael Kors.
